------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for checking out POVisual. A few setup notes.
(1) This program requires VBRUN300.DLL to reside in your windows\system
directory. This file can be found on nearly all online services.
(2) Once you've unzipped this file onto your hard drive, there a couple
things to do before running the program. The instructions below
will get you going.
(3) Before running, make sure POVRAY works fine on its own FIRST!
See the Povray documentation for Povray setup information.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
You must set POVisual to run on YOUR system.
Before running:
(1) Make the directory you want Povisual to run from and copy the files
to this directory. ex: "md c:\povisual" "move *.* c:\povisual"
(2) If you want a set of default options to appear when you first start
the program, move the "render.ini" file into your windows directory.
If you don't, POVisual will startup with no initial parameters and
create a new render.ini file when you save changes.
(3) Edit the file POVRAY.PIF with PIFEDIT to include your povray startup
directory. See windows help for information on PIF file editing.
On first run:
(1) Set the POV PATH to the directory containing POVRAY.EXE.
(2) Set the LIBRARY PATHS to the directorys containging your povray
library and include files.
(3) Set the OUTPUT PATH to the directory in which you would like your
image files to be saved.
(4) Select a scene editor & graphics viewer. Make sure they both can open
files specified on the command line. The graphics viewer must be able
to read the file type you specify in the "OUTPUT FILE" section.
MAKE SURE TO "SELECT" THE TEXT EDITOR & VIEWER BEFORE YOU TRY TO USE THEM!
